Les Miserables Tickets

The West End’s longest running musical Les Miserables is once again showing in London. The Queen’s Theatre is currently the home for the musical and bookings are being taken up until Saturday 27th February 2010. The musical has extended the production significantly as tickets for Les Miserables continue to be in high demand.

The musical was initially written in French by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg in 1980 and was not translated into English until 1985. The current version of the musical is slightly adapted as additional material was added to the musical when it was translated to English by Herbert Kretzmer and James Fenton.  Les Miserables has also graced the stages of New York’s Broadway since its opening in 1987.  On Broadway the performance earned itself fantastic reviews along with a host of Tony Awards including the prestigious Best Musical award.

The musical is based on a Victor Hugo novel written in 1862 tells the struggles of the French Revolution and the subsequent problems that occurred due to it. The musical is an emotionally charges story of love, loyalty and punishment as the protagonist, Jean Valjean, strives to live his life in the midst of disaster. You would be made not to get Les Miserables tickets and see the show for yourself in all its glory.
